Draining the Fuel Tank and Carburetor
DRAIN SCREW
Gasoline is highly flammable and
explosive.
You can be burned or seriously
injured when handling fuel.
Stop the engine and keep heat,
sparks, and flame away.
Handle fuel only outdoors.
Wipe up spills immediately.
Open the right maintenance cover by turning its latch
counterclockwise.
Place a suitable gasoline container
below the carburetor drain hose.
After all the fuel has drained into the
container, tighten the drain screw
securely.
Loosen the carburetor drain screw
and drain the gasoline from the
carburetor and tank.
Remove the sediment cup and empty it.
Reinstall the sediment cup. (see page )
Move the fuel valve to the ON
position.
