3. Spark plug service
Recommended spark plug: BPR4HS (NGK)
To ensure proper engine operation, the spark plugs must be properly gap-
ped and free of deposits.
1. Open the engine hood and remove the spark plug caps.
2. Clean any dirt from around’the spark plug bases.
3. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the spark plugs.

4. Visually inspect the spark plugs. Discard the spark plugs if there is ap-
parent wear, or if the insulators are cracked or chipped. Clean the spark
plugs with a wire brush if they are to be reused.
5. Measure the plug gaps with a feeler gauge.
The gaps should be 0.6 - 0.7 mm (0.024 * 0.028 in). Correct as
necessary by carefully bending the side electrode.
