Quick Reference Guide
Honda Sensing®
Honda Sensing® is a driver support system
which employs the use of three distinctly
different kinds of sensors, a radar sensor
located at the lower part of the front
bumper, a front sensor camera mounted to
the interior side of the windshield, behind
the rearview mirror, and the sonar sensors
located in the front and rear bumpers.

(CMBS )
TM
Can assist you when there is a possibility of
your vehicle colliding with a vehicle or a
pedestrian detected in front of yours. The
CMBS is designed to alert you when the
TM
potential for a collision is determined, as
well as to reduce your vehicle speed to help
minimize collision severity when a collision is
deemed unavoidable.
Low Speed Braking
Control
*
Using sonar sensors located on the front and
rear bumpers, the vehicle detects if there is
danger of a potential collision with a wall or
other obstacle. The system is designed to
alert you when a potential collision is
determined, as well as assist in reducing
speed, avoiding collisions, and reducing
collision severity.

Summary

Collision Mitigation Braking System™™ (CMBSTM)

CMBS Function Description

Assists in avoiding or mitigating frontal collisions with vehicles or pedestrians by alerting and reducing speed.

Low Speed Braking Control*

LSBC Function Description

Uses sonar sensors to detect potential collisions with obstacles and assists in reducing speed or avoiding them.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow

ACC with Low Speed Follow Function

Maintains vehicle speed and following interval, automatically decelerating to a stop if the lead vehicle stops.

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)

LKAS Function

Provides steering input to keep the vehicle centered in its lane and alerts if drifting.

Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) System

RDM Function

Alerts and assists when the system detects unintentional lane departure or leaving the roadway.

Traffic Sign Recognition System

TSR Function

Displays detected road sign information, such as the current speed limit, on the driver interface.

Operation Switches for ACC and LKAS

CANCEL Button Function

Activates ACC standby mode or cancels the system; also cancels LKAS.

LKAS Button Function

Activates LKAS standby mode or cancels the system.

RES/+ and SET/- Buttons Function

RES/+ resumes ACC and increases speed; SET/- sets ACC and decreases speed.

Interval Button Function

Adjusts the following interval for ACC with Low Speed Follow.

Driver Information Interface Content

ACC and LKAS System Status Indicators

Displays system status (standby, on, or problem) for ACC and LKAS via color codes.

ACC with Low Speed Follow Specific Indicators

Shows vehicle ahead detection, set speed, and set interval for ACC with Low Speed Follow.

Camera Location and Handling Tips

Details the camera's location behind the rearview mirror and tips for optimal performance.

Camera Handling and Maintenance Advice

Covers avoiding windshield obstructions, damage, and proper recalibration after replacement.

Front Sensor Camera Troubleshooting

Camera Temperature Too High Message

Provides steps to resolve "Camera Temperature Too High" alerts using climate control and driving.

Clean Front Windshield Message

Instructs on resolving "Clean Front Windshield" alerts by cleaning the windshield and seeking dealer service if needed.

Radar Sensor

Radar Sensor Location and Function

Identifies the radar sensor's location on the front bumper and its role in the system.

Radar Sensor Maintenance and Impact Warnings

Advises on keeping the sensor clean, avoiding modifications, and potential issues after impacts or water submersion.

Sonar Sensors*

Sonar Sensor Location and Range

Specifies the location of sonar sensors in the front and rear bumpers and their detection range.

Sonar Sensor Maintenance and Obstruction Warnings

Warns against stickers, objects, or damage affecting sensors and lists conditions requiring dealer service.
