Configuration  Description 
Enable  Select this check box to enable the SNMP function. 
SNMP Version 
If you check V1, then the system processes only the V1 information. 
If you check V2, then the system processes only the V2 information. 
If you check V3, then the system processes only the V3 information. 
SNMP Port 
The listening port of the proxy program of the NVR. It is a UDP port, not 
a TCP port. This value ranges from 1 to 65535. The default is 161. 
Read Community 
This is a string, and it is a command between the managing processes 
and the proxy process. Read Community defines the authentication, 
the access control, and the management relationship between one 
proxy and one managers’ group. 
Ensure that the device and the proxy are the same. The Read 
Community reads all the objects the SNMP supports in the specified 
name. The default is Public. 
Write Community 
This is a string, and it is a command between the managing processes 
and the proxy process. It defines the authentication, the access control, 
and the management relationship between one proxy and one 
manager’s group. Ensure that the device and the proxy are the same. 
The Write Community reads, writes, and/or accesses all of the objects 
the SNMP supports in the specified name. The default is Write. 
Trap Address 
The Trap information destination address from the device’s proxy 
program. 
Trap Port 
The Trap information destination port from the device’s proxy program. 
The Trap port allows the gateway device and the client-end PC in the 
LAN to exchange information.
