If you have difficulty with your thermostat, please try the following suggestions.
Most problems can be corrected quickly and easily.
Display is
blank
• Checkcircuitbreakerandresetifnecessary.
• Makesurepowerswitchatheatingandcoolingsystemison.
• Makesurefurnacedoorisclosedsecurely.
• MakesureCwireisconnected.
“Wait” appears
on the screen
• Compressorprotectionfeatureisengaged.Wait5minutesforthesystemto
restart safely, without damage to the compressor.
Button on
lower right of
screen is blank
• Thisbuttonwillremainblankunlessthefurnacefilterchangereminderis
activated.
Red light is on • IfthermostatisinEmergencyHeatmodetheredlightisnormal.Itshows
that the thermostat is in emergency heat mode.
Heating or
cooling system
does not
respond
• Checkcircuitbreakerandresetifnecessary.
• Makesurepowerswitchatheating&coolingsystemison.
• Makesurefurnacedoorisclosedsecurely.
• If“Wait”isdisplayed,thecompressorprotectiontimerison.Wait5minutes
for the system to restart safely, without damaging the compressor.
Heating system
is running in
cool mode
• CheckFunction 0170: System Type to make sure it is set to match your
heating and cooling equipment (see page 4).
