Use medium- or heavy-weight cookware.
Aluminum cookwore conducts heat foster
than other metals. Cost-iron and coated
cost-iron cookwure ore slow to absorb heat,
but generallycook evenly at low to medium
heat settings.Steelpans may cook unevenly
if not combined with other metals.
Forbest cooking results,pans should be
flat on the bottom. Match the sizeof the
saucepan to the sizeof the surface unit.
Thepan should not extend over the edge
of the surface unit more than i inch.
Use only riot-bottomed woks.
Wok Cooking
We recommend that you use only a flat-
bottomed wok. They are available at your
localretail store.
Do not usewoks that hove support rings. Use
of these types of woks, with or without the
ring in place, can be dangerous.
Placingthe ring over the surface unit will
cause a buildup of heat that will damage
the porcelain cooktop. Donot try to use such
woks without the ring.Youcould be seriously
burned ifthe wok tips over.
