Use this function to chill drinks inside the freezer
compartment.30minutesafterselection(the
timerequiredtochilla0.75lbottlewithoutthe
glassbreaking),thesymbolflashes,anacoustic
alarm sounds: remove the bottle from the freezer
compartment and press the Stop Alarm button to
disablethealarm.

compartment longer than the time necessary for
chilling.
The“ShockFreeze”compartmentisspecifically
designedtofreezeupto2kgoffreshfoodextremely
quickly.Theultra-fast“ShockFreeze”function
minimizes the formation of ice crystals inside the food
asitfreezes,thusensuringitisofthebestpossible
qualitywhendefrostedpriortoconsumption.Whenthe
“ShockFreeze”functionisnotactive,thecompartment
can be used as normal for traditional freezing or for the
storageofalreadyfrozenfoods.
WhentheShockFreezefunctionisactiveyou
mayhearahummingsound.Thisisabsolutelynormal
and is caused by airflow that permits optimum cold
distributioninsidecompartment.
1. Makesureatleast12hourshavepassedsince
thelasttimethe“ShockFreeze”functionwas
activated(ifatall).Donotactivatethefunctionmore
frequentlythanonceevery12hours.
2. Makesurethatthe“FastFreeze”functionisnot
active:“ShockFreeze”and“FastFreeze”functions
cannotbeactivetogetheratthesametime.
3.Emptythe“ShockFreeze”compartment.
4.Activatethe“ShockFreeze”functionbybriefly
touching the button on the control panel: the
icon lights up and the fans on the bottom of the
compartmentcomeon,increasingtheflowofcold
airandacceleratingthefreezingprocessasaresult.
5. Placethefoodtobefrozeninsidethecompartment,
afewcentimeters(min.2cm)awayfromthefanson
thebackofthecompartment,sothatcoldaircan
circulate.
6. Toachievemaximumfreezingspeed,we
recommendnottodeactivatethe“ShockFreeze”
functionuntilitsautomaticdeactivation,keeping
closed the door
7. The“ShockFreeze”functionisautomatically
deactivated4-5hoursafteritsactivation:the
indicator switches off and the fans are
deactivated.The“ShockFreeze”functionmay
neverthelessbeswitchedoffatanytimeasdesired,
by briefly pressing the button on the control
panel: the indicator switches off and the fans are
deactivated.
Toguaranteeoptimalperformance,the“ShockFreeze”
and“FastFreeze”functionscannotbeusedatthe
sametime.Therefore,ifthe“FastFreeze”functionhas
beenalreadyengaged,ithastobedisengagedfirstto
activatethe“ShockFreeze”function(andvice-versa).
Afterthe“ShockFreeze”functionhasbeenactivated,it
may happen that the indicator lightsupasexpected,
butthefansdonotstartworking.Thisisnormaland
meansthatfreezerdefrostingisinprogress.Attheend
ofthedefrostingphase(maximumduration:1.5hours),
thefanswillautomaticallystartworkingandthe“Shock
Freeze”processwillbeginasnormal.
If,afterthebutton ispressed,theicon lights
up: in this case the button has been pressed for
toolong.Toactivatethe“ShockFreeze”function,first
deactivatetheFastFreezefunction(holdingthe
buttonfor3seconds,thenbrieflytouchthe button,
withoutkeepingitpressedformorethan1second.
This function can be used for optimum appliance
performance,24hoursbeforeplacingfreshfoodinthe

Afterplacingfreshfoodinthefreezer,24hoursonFast
Freezefunctionisgenerallysufficient;After50hours
theFastFreezefunctionautomaticallydeactivates.
Inordertosaveenergy,whenfreezingsmallamounts
offood,thefastfreezefunctioncanbedeactivated
afterafewhours.
Toguaranteeoptimalperformance,the“ShockFreeze”
and“FastFreeze”functionscannotbeusedatthe
sametime.Therefore,ifthe“FastFreeze”functionhas
beenalreadyengaged,ithastobedisengagedfirstto
activatethe“ShockFreeze”function(andvice-versa).
