The Hover-1 ALL-STAR 2.0 Electric Scooter is a personal transporter designed for safe and enjoyable riding. This manual provides comprehensive instructions for its operation, maintenance, and safety precautions.
Function Description
The ALL-STAR 2.0 utilizes digital gyroscopes and acceleration sensors to control balance and motion, responding to the user's center of gravity. A built-in inertia dynamic stabilization system assists with balance when moving forward and backward, though not during turns. The scooter is equipped with powerful built-in wireless speakers, allowing users to stream music while riding. It features a battery indicator to show charge status and a running indicator that lights up when the system is active.
Usage Features
Before riding, it is crucial to thoroughly read and understand all instructions, warnings, and safety features in this manual. Always wear a properly fitted helmet that complies with CPSC or CE safety standards.
Turning On/Off: To power on, place the ALL-STAR 2.0 flat on the floor and press the power button located on the rear. The LED indicator in the center will light up, confirming it's on. To power off, press the power button once.
Mat Sensors: The scooter has four sensors under the foot mats. When riding, ensure your feet are placed firmly on these mats. Applying weight and pressure to only one foot mat may cause the ALL-STAR 2.0 to vibrate or spin in one direction.
Battery Indicator: A green LED light indicates a full charge, a red flashing LED with beeping signifies a low battery, and a yellow light means the board is charging. Recharge the ALL-STAR 2.0 when the LED light turns red.
Running Indicator: This LED lights up when the foot mats are triggered, indicating the system is in a running state. If an error occurs, the running LED will turn red, and a beep sound will alert the user to take precautions.
Riding the ALL-STAR 2.0:
- Initial Setup: Ensure the scooter is fully charged.
- Mounting: Stand directly behind the ALL-STAR 2.0. Place one foot on the corresponding foot mat, keeping your weight on the foot still on the ground. Shift your weight to the foot on the scooter and quickly and evenly step on with your second foot. Stay relaxed and step on confidently.
- Balance: Find your center of gravity. If your weight is distributed correctly and your center of gravity is level, you should be able to stand steadily. It typically takes 3-5 minutes to get comfortable. A spotter can provide additional security.
- Movement: Your center of gravity dictates movement. Tilt your body in the desired direction to move forward, backward, accelerate, decelerate, or stop. To turn, focus on the direction you wish to go and remain relaxed. Avoid sharp turns or high speeds.
- Dismounting: From a stopped position, lift one leg and place your foot back on the ground (stepping back). Then, step off completely. Ensure your feet are completely off the foot mat to prevent the scooter from going into a tailspin.
Weight and Speed Limitations: For safety, adhere to the following limits: Maximum Weight: 220 lbs, Minimum Weight: 44 lbs, Maximum Speed: Up to 7 mph. Exceeding these limits can increase the risk of injury or product damage. When maximum speed is reached, the ALL-STAR 2.0 will beep and slowly tilt the rider back to alert them.
Operating Range: The ALL-STAR 2.0 can travel up to 7 miles on a full charge under ideal conditions. Factors affecting range include terrain (smooth, flat surfaces yield longer distances), user weight (lighter users have greater range), ambient temperature (recommended temperatures increase range and battery life), and speed/riding style (moderate, consistent speeds maximize distance, while frequent starts, stops, and high speeds reduce it).
Bluetooth Speaker: The ALL-STAR 2.0 has a built-in Bluetooth speaker.
- Pairing: Turn on the scooter; the speakers will "Ping" to indicate pairing mode. Place the scooter and your Bluetooth device within 3 feet. Enable Bluetooth on your device and select "DSA-STR2" from the list. Enter PIN "000000" if prompted. The scooter will say "Paired" upon success. Pairing mode lasts two minutes; if no device is paired, it returns to standby. If pairing fails, turn off and re-pair. If your smartphone is out of range or the scooter's battery is low, the speaker may disconnect. Reconnect by following the steps or recharging the scooter.
- Listening to Music: Once paired, stream music wirelessly. Only one speaker plays music, while the other is reserved for safety alerts. Volume and track controls are managed via your music device.
