1. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (1) that secure the fan to the computer.
2. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board (2).
3. Remove the fan from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the fan.
Heat sink
To remove the heat sink, use these procedures and illustrations.

Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 27).
2. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 27).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 29).
Remove the heat sink:
1. In the order indicated on the heat sink, remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (1) that secure the
heat sink to the system board.
