NOTE: Located under the battery, a black plastic piece ts around the screw boss next to the memory
modules. This “hook” is unsecured and can fall out if you tilt the computer. Use the following image to
determine where the hook is properly installed.
Before removing the system board hook, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 26).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 27).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 29).
Remove the system board hook:
▲ Remove the system board hook from the computer.
Reverse this procedure to install the system board hook.
