Before removing the fan, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 26).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 27).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 29).
Remove the fan:
1. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board (1).
2. Remove the silver Phillips M2.0 × 5.0 screw (2) that secures the fan to the computer.
3. Remove the black Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screw (3) that secures the fan to the computer.
4. Lift the fan from the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the fan.
