5. Remove the TouchPad button board (2) and cable.
Reverse this procedure to install the TouchPad button board.
Card reader board

Card reader board (includes cable and double-sided adhesive) 746645-001
Before removing the card reader board, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the Battery (see Battery on page 29), and then remove the following components:
a. Service cover (see Service cover on page 30)
b. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 31)
c. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 37)
d. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 38)
e. Top cover (see Top cover on page 41)
Remove the card reader board:
1. Turn the top cover upside down with the front toward you.
2. Detach the card reader board cable (1) from the top cover. (The card reader board cable is attached to
the top cover with double-sided adhesive.)
