A precision 7 mna RF connector (APC-7) is substituted for the type-N
connector.

Tbe HP 8483A is supplied with an adapter (HP 1250-0597, shown
in figure 1) for joining the Power Sensor’s 75fi type N connector
to the 50f2 power reference connector on the power meter. This
accessory is a mechanical adapter only, not an impedance transformer.
Therefore, an impedance mismatch exists that must be taken into
consideration when calibrating the power meter and power sensor. The
REF CAL FACTOR, on the power sensor label, has been adjusted for
the impedance mismatch. This REF CAL FACTOR, when used to
calibrate any HP power meter, wiU allow calibration to 1.000 mW. The
CAL FACTOR, from the data on the power sensor label, should be
used for any power measurements in a 75Q system at 50 MHz.
Accessories Supplied
Remove mechanical adapter from the Power Sensor before connecting
the sensor to a 750 source.

Table 3 lists the test equipment recommended to check, adjust, and
troubleshoot the Power Sensor. If substitute equipment is used, it must
meet or exceed the critical specifications.
