Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 20).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Computer feet and bottom cover on page 20).
Remove the battery:
1. Disconnect the battery cable (1) from the system board.
2. Remove the ve Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (2) that secure the battery to the computer.
3. Remove the battery (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
