Cold reset
Cold reset is not supported by this MFP. Use the Restore defaults feature instead.
Restore defaults
This feature resets all menu settings to the factory default settings. It does not reset factory-settable
settings such as formatter number, page counts, factory paper settings, language, network address,
etc.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press the navigation arrows to select Service.
3. Press OK.
4. Press the navigation arrows to select Restore defaults.
5. Press OK.
Cleaning mode
The Cleaning mode feature removes dust and toner from the print paper path. This process should
be used if the user sees toner specks and dots on the printed page. This process produces page-
toner debris, which should be discarded.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press the navigation arrows to select Service.
3. Press OK.
4. Press the navigation arrows to select Cleaning mode.
5. Press OK.
6. When prompted, load plain letter in tray 1.
7. Press OK to begin the cleaning process.
USB speed
This option sets the USB speed to high or full. For the device to operate at high speed, it must have
high speed enabled and be connected to an EHCI host controller that is also operating at high speed.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press the navigation arrows to select Service.
3. Press OK.
4. Press the navigation arrows to select USB speed.
5. Press OK.
