About tab features
On the product Properties, only the Device Settings tab and About tab are unique to the product; all
other tabs are part of the operating system.
The About tab is in the Properties for the printer-driver.
To open the About tab, follow these steps:
1. Click Start.
2. Select Settings.
3. If your computer is running Windows 2000, click Printers; if your computer is running Windows XP
Professional and Windows Server 2003, click Printers and Faxes; if your computer is running
Windows XP Home, click Printers and Other Hardware Devices; if your computer is running
Windows Vista, click Hardware and Sound.
4. Right-click the product name.
5. Click Properties.
6. Click the About tab.
The About tab provides detailed information about the printer-driver. It contains an overall build number
(in parentheses after the model name) along with specific information about each component. The
