HP Designjet T7xx memory upgrade
This memory upgrade enables you to print particularly complex jobs. If you receive an “Out
of memory” error message when trying to print a job, you may need this upgrade. It
provides 6 GB of extra memory and can be plugged into one of the printer's USB ports.
This memory upgrade has been designed to be used with an HP Designjet 770 printer only,
and not with the HP Designjet T770 Hard Disk Version. It may be damaged if you attempt to
connect it to other devices.
How to install
Ensure that the printer is turned on.
Insert the USB dongle into the USB port behind the printer on the left-hand side.
The front panel displays, “Graphic Memory upgrade. Upgrading printer’s graphic
memory. Printer will need to be restarted during the process. Press OK to
continue or X to abort”.
If the USB dongle is not connected to the printer, the printer cannot use the 6 GB of extra
memory.
To check that the memory upgrade upgrade has been correctly installed, go to the main
menu on the front panel, Information icon/Printer Information and you should see
Memory: 8GB”.
How to uninstall
o Printer on
o Remove the memory dongle from the printer
o Follow instructions on front panel
If you remove the USB when the printer is off, when you turn it on the front panel asks you
either to put it back and continue or to proceed with the uninstallation process.
