8.
Install the optional secondary PCI riser cage.
9. If not already installed, install the secondary processor ("Processor and fan option" on page 40).
10. Install the access panel (on page 23).
11. Install the server into the rack ("Installing the server into the rack" on page 36).
12. Connect each power cord to the server.
13. Connect each power cord to the power source.
14. Power up the server (on page 21).
Hard drive cage option
A SAS expander card or an additional SAS controller option is required to support the hard drive cage
option.
To install the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 21).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Extend the server from the rack (on page 21).
4. Remove the access panel (on page 22).
