Before removing the speaker, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 41).
5. Remove the service access cover (see
Service access cover on page 42).
6. Remove the Bluetooth module (see
Bluetooth module on page 50).
Remove the speaker:
1. Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board.
2. Remove the Phillips M2.0×3.0 screw (2) and the two Phillips M2.0×7.0 screws (3) that secure
the speaker to the base enclosure.
3. Remove the speaker (4) from the base enclosure.
Reverse this procedure to install the speaker.
