Item Component Description
(1) WLAN antennas (2)* Send and receive wireless signals to communicate with wireless local area networks.
NOTE: To set up a WLAN and connect to the Internet, you need a broadband modem
(either DSL or cable) (purchased separately), high-speed Internet service, purchased
from an Internet service provider, and a wireless router (purchased separately).
(2) WWAN antennas (2)* Send and receive wireless signals to communicate with wireless wide area networks.
(3) Internal microphones Record sound.
(4) Webcam light

On: The webcam is in use.

Records video and captures still photographs.
For information on using the webcam:

Windows 10 – Type camera in the taskbar search box, and then select Camera.

Windows 8 – Access HP Support Assistant. To access HP Support Assistant on
the Start screen, select the HP Support Assistant app.
●
Windows 7 – Select Start > All Programs > Communication and Chat > HP
WebCam.
(6) Internal display switch Turns off the display and initiates Sleep if the display is closed while the power is on.
