These drives support writing to CD-R, CD-RW, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, and DVD-RW media, and can read from any industry-standard CD and DVD media. They are an excellent choice for creating CDs and DVDs, as well as for backing up or archiving permanent data files on CD or DVD media. The LZ835AA model is specifically designed to fit into 2011 HP Business Notebook platforms and HP Advanced Docking Stations (A7E36AA/A7E38AA), while the AK869AA model works with HP Docking Stations (A7E32AA/A7E34AA) and pre-2011 HP Business Notebooks.
