MAC Table
Status Provides information about the entry and why it is in the table. Possible values are the following:
• Learned—The address has been automatically learned by the switch and can age out when it
is not in use. Dynamic addresses are learned by examining information in incoming Ethernet
frames.
• Management—The burned-in MAC address of the switch.
• Self—The MAC address belongs to one of the physical interfaces on the switch.
• Other—The address was added dynamically through an unidentified protocol or method.
• Unknown—The switch is unable to determine the status of the entry.
