Tray 2 separation pad
Note This procedure applies to Tray 2 and to any optional 250-sheet tray.
1 Remove the paper from the tray.
Note Callout 1 in figure 73 shows a detail of the separation pad.
2 While pressing down the paper lift plate (callout 2), reach under the front of the tray and
squeeze the black tabs (callout 3 in figure 74) to release the separation pad from the tray.

3 Pull the spring off of the old separation pad, and then insert the spring onto the new
separation pad.
4 Replace the separation pad.
