Formatter PCA
Caution
ESD SENSITIVE!
1 Remove the Printer Covers and complete the DC Controller removal direction up to
step 8 (Figures 6-40 and 6-41).
2 Remove the two cable clips (Figure 6-43, callout 1).
3 Remove all (4) screws from the formatter cover (Figure 6-43, callout 2). Lift the I/O
shield to remove it.
4 Remove the Control Panel display cable (Figure 6-43, callout 3).
5 Slide the formatter away from the DC Controller PCA to remove it from the
connector.
Formatter Board Removal
Note The formatter I/O shield comes in two separate pieces. Be careful to order the
correct pieces should you need to replace them.
