When removing the control panel, do not fully raise the control panel to access the FFC
connector. Doing so causes strain damage to the FFC (callout 1).

The FFC has two pre-folds about 2.54 cm (1.0 in) from either end (callout 1). If the FFC has been
strained (for example stretched too tight when the control panel is removed), it might contain
additional folds or creases (callout 2). Additional folds or creases can cause internal damage to
the FFC when the keyboard is pulled in and out of the product.
