Before proceeding, remove the following components:

TIP: If you are removing the top cover to gain access to other components on the product, you
can leave the control-panel assembly installed on the cover. Disconnect the FFC at the formatter,
and remove the control-panel assembly and the top cover as one unit.
If you are installing a replacement top cover, you must remove the control-panel assembly
completely.
Remove the top cover
1. Remove six screws (callout 1).
