3. Lift the left side of the document feeder base, and then carefully remove the FFC (circled).
CAUTION: Do not damage the FFC (circled) that runs through the document feeder base. Carefully
feed the FFC through the slot during removal and during replacement.

4. Temporarily set the left side of the document feeder base back onto its hinge, and then firmly lift the
document feeder base straight up to remove it from the scanner base.
