4. You may now proceed to install the drivers for the device and can be obtained from the
provided CD or from the Winbranch Utilities download site at
http://196.214.70.106/downloads/
5. Install the driver by running the sp69523.exe file in the Windows Device Manager Only
Drivers folder and complete the setup. (see image 1b and 1c)

6. Once completed, run the SetupUtility in the Pole Configuration Utility folder
7. This utility is used to save settings to the pole display. Ensure the following are set (see
image 1d)
a. Top left corner port settings must be COM5 9600,n,8,1
b. Character Type = US ENGLISH [CP 437]
c. Command Mode = EPSON (DEFAULT)
d. BaudRate = 9600,N,8,1
8. If all settings are correct you may click on the Download Setting to Display button.
9. A prompt will appear to indicate that the information has been saved to the pole display and
you must restart the pole display by powering it off and switching it on, there is a power
switch underneath the VFD display.
