Scanner assembly
WARNING! Always engage the scanner lock before you remove the scanner assembly. The
optic assembly is not captive and can be damaged when the scanner assembly is removed from
the device.
1. Remove the following components or assemblies:

ADF. See
ADF assembly on page 204.
●
Control panel. See
Control panel on page 228.
2. HP LaserJet M5035xs only: Remove three screws (callout 1) and the stapler back cover.
All other models: Remove the formatter cover (callout 2).
