4. After the drive belt is reinstalled, make sure that the tension clip is correctly positioned in relation
to the FFC retainer. If the clip is installed too far to the right or left of the position shown below, it
will interfere with the optic drive pulleys when the optic assembly moves.

5. Install the optic assembly. Carefully slide the optic assembly back and forth in the scanner bed and
make sure that the drive belt tension clip does not contact the drive pulleys at either end of the belt.
CAUTION Do not touch the lens, mirrors, lamp, or components underneath the assembly
when handling the optic assembly.
