Front door and stapler unit cover
1. Remove the following components or assemblies:

Control panel. See
Control panel on page 228.

Stapler left cover. See
Left cover on page 262.
2. Loosen but do not remove two screws (callout 1).
Tip Loosening these two screws allows the scanner to be slightly raised when accessing
the locking tab on the top of the stapler unit cover.

3. Open the front door and slightly lift up on the scanner assembly. Lift up on the door retainer tab to
release it.
