Fuser fan
1. Remove the following components or assemblies:

Base unit face-down cover. See
Face-down cover on page 291.
●
Base unit top cover. See
Top cover on page 312.
●
Base unit front cover. See
Front cover on page 296.
2. Disconnect one connector (callout 1) and release two tabs (callout 2) to remove the fuser fan.
Tip When you reinstall the fuser fan make sure that the wire harness is not pinched in the
fan shroud. For proper air flow direction, make sure that the label on the fan hub faces
inward toward the fuser.
