Component Description
(1) Side panel release latch Releases the side panel.
WARNING! To reduce the risk of serious injury or damage to the equipment, do
not open the chassis cover of any computer containing a 600 W PSU, 750 W PSU,
or 1300 W PSU. To determine if you have a 600 W, 750 W, or 1300 W PSU, refer
to the label on the back of the computer.
(2) Security cable slot Attaches an optional security cable to the computer.
NOTE: The security cable is designed to act as a deterrent, but it may not
prevent the computer from being mishandled or stolen.
(3) Vents (2) Enable airow to cool internal components.
NOTE: The computer fan starts up automatically to cool internal components
and prevent overheating. It is normal for the internal fan to cycle on and o
during routine operation.
(4) Optical out connector Connects digital speakers (purchased separately).
(5) USB Type-C charging port
(select products only)
When the computer is on, connects and charges a USB device that has a Type-C
connector, such as a cell phone, camera, activity tracker, or smartwatch, and
provides data transfer.
(6) USB 3.x SuperSpeed ports (6 or
7)
Connect a USB device, such as a cell phone, camera, activity tracker, or
smartwatch, and provides high-speed data transfer.
NOTE: Depending on your product, your computer may have 6 or 7 USB 3.x
SuperSpeed ports.
(7) RJ-45 (network) jack/status
lights
Connects a network cable.
