Power connector cable (includes AC adapter and battery light) L56904-001
Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 32).
5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 36).
6. Remove the hinge trunks (see Hinge trunks on page 44).
7. Remove the fan brackets (see Fan brackets on page 45).
8. Remove the fan/heat sink assembly (see Fan/heat sink assembly on page 46).
9. Remove the USB/audio board (see USB/audio board on page 49).
Remove the power connector cable:
1. Disconnect the power connector cable (1) from the system board.
2. Remove the Phillips M2.0×3.8 screw (2) that secures the power connector and I/O bracket to the keyboard/
top cover.
3. Remove the I/O bracket (3).
The I/O bracket is not available as a spare part.
