(3) HP Duet Pen ultrasonic microphones Allow the tablet and pen to use ultrasonic sound to
determine pen position and track movement in off-screen

(4) Speakers Produce sound.
(5) NFC (Near Field Communications) area Allows you to share data and files with another device that
has NFC by simply touching the devices together.
(6) WLAN (wireless local area network)
antennas
Send and receive wireless signals to communicate with
WLANs.
NOTE: The antennas are not visible from the outside of
the tablet. For optimal transmission, keep the areas
immediately around the antennas free from obstructions.

(7) ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) expansion slot Allows you to connect accessories such as a keyboard or
power supply using the POGO pin connector.
(8) Nano SIM card slot (select tablets only) Supports a wireless subscriber identity module (SIM) card.

(9) MicroSD card reader Reads microSD cards that store, manage, share, or access
information. For installation instructions, see Using storage
on page 46.
NOTE: Your tablet has read/write support for SDHC
microSD cards up to 32 GB.
(10) Micro-B USB 2.0 port Permits you to connect to power using a micro-B USB
extension cable. You can use the cable to connect to a
USB power source or AC adapter.
You can also use the cable to connect to other devices.
(11) WWAN (wireless wide area network)

WWANs.

(13) Volume button Press to increase or decrease sound.
(14) Power button

When the tablet is off, press the button to turn on the
tablet.

When the tablet is on, press the button briefly to
initiate Sleep.
●
When the tablet is in the Sleep state, press the button
briefly to exit Sleep.
CAUTION: Pressing and holding down the power button
without waiting for the Power off message can result in the
loss of unsaved information.
