Initiate Sleep on the tablet when you are not using it by briefly touching the power button. To exit
Sleep, press the power button again.

Turn on the battery saver feature.
Using battery saver
When your battery level is low and AC power is not available, turn on battery saver. This provides up
to 90 minutes of battery life by turning off certain functions.
You can also select to turn on battery saver automatically when the battery level reaches certain
percentages.

Swipe down twice from the top edge, and then touch the Battery icon .

Touch the Menu icon , touch Battery saver, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Running on AC power
For information about connecting to AC power, see the
Quick Start
guide included with your tablet.
The tablet does not use battery power when the tablet is connected to AC external power with an
approved AC adapter.
WARNING! To reduce potential safety issues, use only the AC adapter provided with the tablet, a
replacement AC adapter provided by HP, or a compatible AC adapter purchased from HP.
Connect the tablet to external AC power under any of the following conditions:
WARNING! Do not charge the tablet battery while you are aboard aircraft. Some airlines may have
different rules and/or restrictions.

When charging or calibrating a battery
●
When installing or modifying system software
●
When performing a backup or recovery
When you connect the tablet to external AC power:

The battery begins to charge.
●
The screen brightness may increase.
When you disconnect external AC power, the following events occur:

The tablet switches to battery power.
●
Depending on your tablet, the screen brightness may automatically decrease to save battery life.
