Before removing the USB/audio board, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Service door (see Service doors on page 32).
b. Hard drive (Hard drive on page 34)
c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 43)
d. Top cover (see Top cover on page 50)
e. Battery (see Battery on page 62)
Remove the USB/audio board:
1. Position the computer upright on a at surface.
2. Disconnect the cable from the board (1).
3. Remove the 2 Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screws (2) that secure the board to the computer.
4. Lift the board out of the computer (3).
