Remove the partition.
2. Install the air baffle.
3. Install the access panel.
4. Do one of the following:
o Close or install the tower bezel, as needed.
o Slide the server back into the rack.
5. Power up the server.
Hard drive fan assembly
In the standard fan configuration, two hard drive fans are installed. In the redundant fan configuration, three
hard drive fans are installed. The removal and replacement procedures are the same for all fans.
To determine the fan configuration, see "Fan locations (on page 85)".
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 25).
2. Do one of the following:
o Open or remove the tower bezel, as needed ("Bezel" on page 27).
o Remove the server from the rack (on page 26).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 29).
4. Remove the air baffle, if necessary ("Air baffle" on page 38).
5. Remove the fan.
