3 Stripping the Optical Cable
3.1 1.2 mm x 1.6 mm Transparent Optical Cable
Step 1 Insert the optical cable into the boot.
Route the optical cable in from the smaller hole and out from the larger hole of the boot. Do
not install the optical cable in the wrong direction.
Step 2 Use diagonal pliers to cut the optical cable from the middle, remove the sheath, and expose
the bare fiber by 45–50 mm.
