Attach the receiver base to the stem first for cable protection and de-burr pipe edges.
Assemble receiver and base first, then attach to stem and de-burr pipe edges.
Use electrical tape to secure the DGPS pigtail to the receiver cable.
Route the GPS receiver's cable through the stem and along the planned route.
Attach the GPS receiver to its base using screws, then screw the assembly onto the stem.
