Cross Pin
Using a Different Size Downrod
If you need a different downrod length follow these steps:
In order to change the length of
downrod, the pivot assembly needs to be
disengaged. Rotate the downrod into an
upright position.

STEP
Place downrod assembly
between the pivot bracket and
make sure holes are aligned.
Push the retention spring to
the side to allow cross pin
access. Place cross pin through
downrod assembly and the pivot
bracket. Place retention spring
into the groove of the cross pin.
Keep downrod upright and lower
downrod adapter cover and
twist clockwise until tight.

Disengage retention spring by
pulling away from rod. Then
remove cross pin from downrod.
Remove downrod assembly
from pivot assembly.

FAN FALL HAZARD
To prevent SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH:
• ALWAYS follow the downrod assembly
instructions exactly.
• VERIFY the downrod is assembled correctly
by rmly pulling on the hanger ball.

Remove ball screw (1).
Slide down inner sleeve (5).
Reinstall small metal pin (10)
and ground screw (11). Slide
ball up (12).
Remove ball, inner sleeve,
downrod (6), and adapter cover.
Reinstall ball screw (13).
Route ground wire and wiring
harness through accessory
downrod–12” max. (7). Slide
adapter cover, inner sleeve and
ball over downrod (8).
Slide up inner sleeve (9).
Slide ball down (2), remove
small metal pin (3) and ground
screw (4).
