REMOVING
LIQUID
MANURE
PUMP
I. Drain
the
manure
from
the
discharge plpe.
thenremove the pipe and bipod
legs
from
the
pump

Remove
the
P.T.O.
from
the
pump

When removing
the
pump
from
the
pit
always
hook onto the front hitch
of
the
tongue. Caution should
be
taken when tilling
the
pump
fOf\vard
that
it
cannot
hit
the
tractor cab or operator and cause damage.
4.
Lift
the
pump with
the
hydraulic motor. tilt
the
pump
up
with
[he
hydraullc cylinder. careful
not
[0
catch
the
agitation tees
on
the
concrete
as
you
are
lifting
the
pump oul. Drive away
from
the
pit slowly
to
make sure
all
paris
of
the
pump are clear

When lifting out
the
2 point hitch pump
do
not
let
the
clutch out too
fast
or
the
tractor
may
raisL:
on
the
front
end
as
the
pump
is
quite heavy
4.10 CLEAN-UP
At
the
end
of
cleaning your manure
faciltty. follow this procedure
to
clean
the
machine:
I. Wash the outside
or
the
Husky
Liquid Manure
Pump
with a
hose
or pressure washer.

If
the
temperatures arc below freezing.
be
sure

drain
so
pump
will
not

All Manure pumps arc subject
to
the

STORAGE
4.11.1 PLACING IN
STORAGE
After
the
season's use. inspect all
systems of
the
Husky Liquid Manure Pump. Repair or
replace
any
worn or damaged components
to
prevent
any down
time
at
the
beginning
of
the
next season.
Since
the
machine works with manure.
it
is
necessary
to
thoroughly wash
the
unit
to
prevent manure acids
from
working on
the
components while
in
storage.
All
manure. debris
and
reSidue
should
be
removed. It
is
good practice
to
have a small camster sprayer and
to
spray Ilght
oil
both before and arter using.

Inspect
all
hydraulic hoses. lines. couplers and
fillings. Tighten any loose fillings. Replace any hose
that
is
badly cut, nicked. abraded or
is
separating from
the
crimped end
of
the
filling.

all
grease fitlings (see Maintenance
Section).
