Oil drain plug

CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL
Check the oil level with the truck on a flat ground
before starting engine.
Pull out the dipstick and wipe with a clean cloth.
Check the oil level by inserting the dipstick
completely into the hole and pulling out again.
If oil level is LOW, add oil and then check again.
If the oil is contaminated or diluted, change
the oil regardless of the regular change
interval.
Check oil level after engine has been stopped
for 15 minutes.
Do not operate unless the oil level is in the
normal range.

REPLACEMENT OF ENGINE OIL AND OIL
FILTER
Warm up the engine until the water temperature
reaches 60˚C (140˚F).
Remove the oil drain plug. Drain the oil immedi-
ately to be sure all the oil and suspended con-
taminants are removed from the engine.
A drain pan with a capacity of 30 liters (7.9
U.S. gallons) will be adequate.
Clean around the filter head, remove the filter by
the 1/2" socket wrench and clean the gasket
surface.
The O-ring can stick on the filter head. Be
sure it is removed before installing the new
filter.
