18. If you have a hot-swap model, reinstall the hot-swap power-supplies.
19. Connect the power cable to the rear of the drive. The connectors are keyed
and can be inserted only one way.
If
you have other options to install or remove, do so now; otherwise go to
“Completing the installation” on page 68.
Installing a tape drive
To install a tape drive, complete the following steps.
1. Read the safety information that begins on page v and “Installation guidelines”
on page 22.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords
and all external cables.
3. Unlock the side cover.
4. Remove the side cover (see “Removing the side cover” on page 26.
5. Place your finger on the depression area on the left side of the bezel door and
rotate it away from the server. After you rotate the bezel beyond 90°, pull the
bezel off the server and set it aside.
6. Remove the EMC shields from the bays in which you want to install the tape
drive.
