The visor not only increases the helmet's passive safety characteristics, but also its active safety, by
increasing the width of the field of vision when compared to the use of any type of sunglasses.
Visor fixing system
In order to further increase safety for paraglider pilots, we have introduced a new visor assembly system. It
was essential to ensure that the aluminium disc does not project from the outer shell by more than 5 mm, so
that paraglider lines cannot get caught on the helmet.
This modification was also mandatory for EN 966 certification.
When the visor is lifted completely, it is entirely outside the field of vision.
Ear defenders or electronic headsets
Headsets are mandatory for TZ’s EN 966 certification. We supply the helmet with the best ear defenders
available on the market, mounting them to perfection. The system is very practical, because the ear cups can
be flipped upwards or sideways quickly and easily. As a result, you can hear normally even when wearing
the helmet on the ground. When you are in the air, you can ventilate your ears whenever you like. Three
versions of ear defenders are available, eco black, eco carbon optic or 3M X5.
We can also supply our TZ helmet with electronic headset systems, including the professional Peltor OP II
headsets, as used by the Swiss aerial rescue service Rega, in Carbon Optic finish. For further information,

If you already have your own headset and you wish to use it with our TZ helmet, we suggest sending us the
headset so that we can fit it perfectly to the helmet. If you are unsure whether your headset can be used with
