Speech Compression
• Push momentarily to turn the RF speech compression function
ON/OFF.
– “COMP” indicator appears when the speech compressor is ON.
• Push for 1 sec. to enter to the compression set mode.
– What is the speech compressor?
• The speech compressor compresses the transmitter audio input to
increase the average audio output level. Therefore, talk power is
increased. This function is effective for long distance communication or
when propagation conditions are poor.
