Requirement for installation by a Gas Safe Registered Engineer or Registered Gas Installer.
Installation must follow I.S. 813, Building Regulations, and ETCI rules.
The appliance requires earthing and a 3A fuse for a 230V, 50Hz supply.
Connect via a double-pole switch or a 3-pin unswitched socket.
Must not be operated without the casing correctly fitted and sealed.
Boiler compartments must not be used for storage purposes.
Sealed components must not be tampered with or used incorrectly.
Do not use if a fault is suspected; consult a Gas Safe Registered Engineer.
Turn the mains on/off switch to OFF for short periods.
Turn off mains and electricity; drain the system for longer periods.
Leave heating controls at reduced temperature for short absences.
Drain the entire system for longer periods.
Turn boiler OFF at time switch; leave mains ON for systems with frost thermostat.
Call a Gas Safe Registered installer if not competent to defrost.
Handle hot utensils with care; do not thaw pipework above ground.
Identify frozen blockage location, likely at exposed points or dips.
Apply warm water, heat packs, or cloths; do not use boiling water.
Reset appliance after blockage removal; call installer if ignition fails.
Set boiler stat to maximum during cold weather.
Set heating to continuous and room stat to 15°C overnight.
Contact local gas supplier without delay if a gas leak is suspected.
Do NOT search for gas leaks using a naked flame.
Dust with a dry cloth for normal cleaning.
Use a damp cloth and mild detergent for stubborn marks.
DO NOT use abrasive cleaning materials.
Check power, programmer, room stat, and gas supply.
Press reset button; check condensate pipe and radiators.
Press reset button; if fault recurs, contact installer (overheat).
Check radiator thermostatic valves; contact installer if fitted.
