Airbag system
The airbag system consists of the
following units:
– Sensors and control units;
– Front airbag for driver;
– Front airbag for right front passenger*;
– Side airbag*;
–
Airbag warning lamp.
Warning:
• If the airbag warning lamp is ignored,
serious casualty will be resulted once
the airbag system or safety belt pre
tensioner works abnormally.
• Airbag is only a supplementary
protection for safety belt. Please wear
the safety belt properly at any time
during driving.
• Replacement of airbag system: After
the airbag inates or the vehicle has
been in service for 10 years, it is a
must to have your whole set of airbag
system replaced either at Dongfeng
Franchise Store or IKCO authorised
representatives to ensure its normal
operation.
Airbag warning lamp is used to warn the
driver that the airbag, sensor or seat belt
pre-tensioner is risky possibly. After the
ignition switch is turned to M position,
the warning lamp will ash for 6 times
and then go out, indicating that the
system works normally.
If the indicator lamp is lighted at other
moments or fails to be lighted in any
cases, please have the system checked
either by the designated Dongfeng
Franchise Store or IKCO authorised
representatives for the following
abnormalities:
The airbag warning lamp will be off
after the ignition switch is turned to
M position;
The warning lamp ashes for 6 times
and then stays on;
The indicator lamp is on or on/off
alternatively during driving.
