4.1 Pump description
GHN(basic, auto), GHND (basic,auto): this is awet-rotorpump, which hasabuilt-in
electric motor with three rotation speeds, representing hand (basic) and automatic (auto)
positions.
Themostimportantadvantagesofthisregulationare:
- energy saving and at the same time operational cost reduction,
- reducingthenoiselevelasaresultofexcessiveow.
5. inStallation
ATTENTION!
Installation and start up should only be carried out by
qualified personnel!
5.1 Pump incorporation
- Pump should be incorporated only in appropriately ventilated premises, protected
againstfreezing.
- Thepumpshouldbeincorporated after nishingallweldingworksandrinsingthe
system.
- It is recommended to incorporate stop valves in front of and behind the pump, to
preventunloadingandreloadingthesystemincaseofeventualreplacementofthe
pump.
- Thepipesshouldbeafxedinawaytopreventburdeningthepumpwiththeirweight.
Thepipesmustnotbeoverstretched.
- The pump should be incorporated into piping system with the pump axis 1-1 in
horizontalposition(Fig.1).
- Toensurepumpsoperationwithminimumvibrationandnoise,thepumpshouldbe
incorporatedintothestraightpipingsectionwithlenghtofatleast5-10xD(Disthe
nominaldiameterofthepumptube)fromtheknee.
- Directionofwaterowthroughthepumpshouldmatchwithdirection,indicatedbyan
arrowonthepumpcasing(Fig.2-POS.1).
- Thepumpmustnotbeincorporatedintothesafetypumpingsystem.
- Thenominaltubediametershouldnotbesmallerthanthenominaldiameterofthe
pump.
- TheconnectingangesaredesignedfornominalpressureNP6/10(Fig.2–POS.8).
- GHN(basic,auto),GHNM(basic,auto)pumpshaveasinglehydrauliccasing(Fig.2
–POS.8).
- GHND (basic, auto), GHNMD (basic, auto) pumps have double hydraulic casing
(Fig.3–POS.11),whereatiltableapisbuilt-in(Fig.3–POS.10),tiltingautomatically,
dependingontheowdirectionofoneoranotherpump.
- Motor rotation direction in hydraulic casing is indicated on the rating plate.
- Pumps shoud be incorporated in places with easy access to enable further
maintenance works.
- Thepumpshouldbeincorporatedinawaytoprotectthemotorandconnectingcase
against possible dropping water and prevent equipment damage.
