How to fix Indesit DIF 1614 Dishwasher that does not start?
    • L
      Lindsey RyanAug 14, 2025
If your Indesit dishwasher doesn't start or cannot be controlled, it might be due to the appliance not being plugged in properly or the dishwasher door not being shut properly. To solve this, switch off the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF button, switch it back on after approximately one minute, and reset the program.

Why Indesit Dishwasher crockery has not been dried properly?
    • R
      Ronald HardyAug 17, 2025
If your Indesit dishwasher isn't drying the crockery properly, it could be due to a wash cycle without a drying program being selected, the rinse aid being used up or the dosage being too low, the rinse aid dispenser setting not being suitable, or the crockery being made from non-stick material or plastic.

What to do if Indesit DIF 1614 does not take in any water?
    • M
      meyermindyAug 21, 2025
If your Indesit dishwasher doesn't take in water and emits several short beeps while the 1, 2, and 3 WASH CYCLES indicator lights flash, it could be due to a few reasons. First, check if there is water in the mains supply. If not, turn on the tap, and the appliance should start after a few minutes. Also, inspect the water inlet hose for any bends. If the hose is bent, straighten it, and the appliance should start after a few minutes. Finally, the appliance lock may have been activated because no action was taken when the beeps sounded. To resolve this, switch off the appliance using the ON/OFF button, turn on the tap, and switch the appliance back on after 20 seconds by pressing the same button. Then, re-program the appliance and restart the wash cycle.

    • O
      omendozaAug 25, 2025
If the dishes and glasses from your Indesit dishwasher are covered in a white film or limescale deposits, it could be because the level of the refined salt is low or the dosage setting is not suited to the hardness of the water, the lid on the salt dispenser is not closed properly, or the rinse aid has been used up or the dosage is too low.

Why Indesit DIF 1614 Dishwasher leaves dishes not clean?
    • N
      Nicole MilesAug 27, 2025
If the dishes in your Indesit dishwasher are not clean, it could be due to overloaded racks, poorly arranged crockery, sprayer arms that cannot move freely, a wash cycle that is too gentle, an excessive amount of foam, a lid on the rinse aid compartment that has not been shut correctly, a dirty or blocked filter, or a low refined salt level.
